Mills College Art Lecture Series: Evan Holm

Evan Holm: “Engagement with Obsolete Technology”
April 12, 2017
7:00 PM, Danforth Lecture Hall

Evan Holm creates artifacts from a world where humans have long since disappeared, and new arms of life have gained foothold upon the discarded architecture of our present civilization resulting in a family of hybrid organisms and abandoned relics. His work Submerged Turntable, a unique experience merging sound, performance, and sculpture, has been shown throughout the Bay Area. Holm has performed at SFMOMA and the California Academy of Sciences, and recently screened a short film at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. He lives and works in Oakland, CA.
